INFORMATION SHEET
Please read this sheet very carefully BEFORE filling in your audition form. Once you have filled in your audition form and attached a photograph, keep it safe and bring it with you to the audition. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IT BACK IN ADVANCE. There is an enquiry form we would ask you to complete and return to us as soon as possible so that we can have some idea of the number of people to expect on the audition day.
AGE:
You must be aged 14 - 35 in order to be eligible to join the company.
AUDITION:
It is an informal audition, and you will not have to prepare anything. Please wear comfy clothes.
Date/Time: - the FIRST audition/interview date for all areas of the company will be:

Venue: LIBERATUS STUDIOS , UNIT 1 ISIS TRADING ESTATE, SWINDON SN1 2PG (old space adventure)
At first you will asked to dance then sing and act, we will only ask you to stay on if we think we might like to see you later in the day /another day for a part for our forthcoming production- large or small. If you are not asked to stay on, it does not mean that you have not been selected as a member of the company. You will be notified in writing within a couple of days, whether you have been successful or not.
There is usually quite a bit of waiting around as other people are auditioned.
Please Note: - ONLY people auditioning will be allowed into the audition room.
Please also note:- although we do everything possible to make the auditions fair and painless, there are only a limited number of places available (100) and there is always some disappointment. We apologise for this in advance, but the decision of the team on the day is final and correspondence will not be entered into.
Rehearsals:- Saturday evenings ETC Jnr 4.30 - 6.30 ETC 6.30 – 8.30…and/or Sundays - 12.00am – 4.00 pm.
Rehearsal schedules will be posted on the web site - although they are subject to change.
Performances: - . ETC - 3 productions per year..showcase in the autumn...musical at xmas...Major musical in april.
ETC Jnr - currently 1 major production in October
VARIOUS AREAS
You will see from your audition form that you may indicate areas that you are interested in.
On Stage: - if selected, you will be a member of the company for the whole year.
Technical: - you will not be auditioned as such , but we will chat to you on that day and give you an understanding of the technical side of the company. If selected, you will be involved in various aspects of putting the show together, including lighting, sound, set, props, follow spots, wardrobe etc. So, if you don't particularly fancy being in the limelight, then this area is for you. Please ensure we have as much relevant information as possible on your audition form as lengthy interviews are not possible.
Wardrobe:- if you wish to help out with the supervising of costumes on this show, you must have a fairly good knowledge of sewing and other related skills, and be willing to dress the cast during produtions.
ALL AREAS OF THE COMPANY ARE RUN WITH VERY CLOSE PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION
FEES:
ETC :
If you are accepted, the fee for the 2010 major production is £150 .If you choose to become a member for a full YEAR the fee is £250-00 (approx £5 per week) .This option includes the £150 show fee.
All fees are payable in advance BY CHEQUE OR MONTHLY STANDING ORDER..
The year fee covers 3 productions throughout the year.( There is a discount for paying by standing order.£20 PER MONTH)

If you are accepted into the company the fee is £200 for the year ( less than £4 per week)

There is a discount for paying by standing order.£16 PER MONTH
For those accepted in both companies there is a special rate of £350 for all 4 productions .(£6.70 per week) Standing order payment will be £29 per month.
Fees do not include any transport or meals, and you may be asked to bring in basic items of costumes e.g. shoes etc. - this should hopefully only be items that you already have at home.
SUBSIDISED PLACES:
There are subsidised places on offer for those who genuinely cannot afford the fees.
TRINITY MUSICAL THEATRE DIPLOMA:
In addition to working with, and learning from, a superb team of professionals, making new friends and having great fun., your hard work can also be turned into qualifications if required…
In producing a major musical and a showcase production every year, the skills you will master will enable you to gain the above qualifications ….and add to your UCAS points..
We also run Drama /singing and musical theatre workshops throughout the year by industry professionals...
